AWBO Holiday
Auction & Drawing

The Holiday Auction and Drawing is coming up fast!!  It's the holiday season and that means time for the annual AWBO Holiday Auction and Drawing.  Please join us on Tuesday December 10th from 11:30 to 1:00 at the MCL Restaurant and Bakery in West Lafayette.  Invite your friends, family, employees and clients to celebrate the holiday season.  All proceeds from the Holiday Auction and Drawing benefit the Cary Home.

Also if you still want to donate or help with the event please contact Jenna Isch at jisch@farmersagent.com

From the President...
It's almost time for AWBO's annual benefit auction for Cary Girls Home located on 18th Street in Lafayette.  Our president, Susan Benedict, asked me to tell you a little bit about it.  Our goal, through this auction, is to present the home with a nice amount that will supply the needs of the young girls who might find themselves uprooted from their homes very abruptly.  There are currently 3 girls there but that number can change daily.

The workers love to have people go in and work with the girls making crafts (which I love to do) and other skills to encourage them.  I know the money that will be raised, will go for paper, markers, paint, glue and other art/crafting supplies.  But many times the home runs low, or completely out on vital items such as clothes, winter coats, shoes, toiletries and backpacks.  Let's set them up with what they need, and some want's, for the girls at Cary Girls Home!!

Please mark it on your calendar, bring a purse full of money or your checkbook and don't miss this action packed event full of exciting things.

News & Events
Committee News...
This is Melony Ramsey reporting for the AWBO Hospitality Committee which includes Pam Rhode-Thalls and Joanne Webb.

We want to thank Zandra Barker, Kim Ringler and Julia Curry for being our guests at the November meeting.  We invite you to return to our spectacular December Charity event to earn money for Cary Girls Home.

Women Business owners can visit AWBO luncheons 2 times but we hope you will want to become members after that so you can enjoy the benefits of listening to inspirational, informative speakers, communicating with other business owners and gleaning tips that will help you with your business.

We also had 6 more members renew at the meeting.  Don't forget to pay your dues so you don't miss out on upcoming events.

Is Your Photo Posted on the Website?
Many times guests would like to connect with someone they met at our AWBO monthly meeting. But by the time they get back to the office the name may be "gone".  Is your photo posted on the website? Please use this tool to your advantage. We recently found at least two members who had downloaded their photo, but a setting was not allowing it to post.

Please contact Becky Risch or Susan Benedict if you are having problems getting your photo to post correctly.  Or, if you don't have a current photo, please let us know as well-might be time to have Michael Dick (photographer) return.

Robby is author of “The How-To Guide for Generations at Work”.  Individuals of all ages can be productive through a new perspective on age and experience. Robby will discuss just how we can do that.
