Lindsey Veramis - Writing Script that Sells - Storytelling Across All Platforms

The power of STORY:

In a world brimming with content, it's tough to be heardtougher still to be memorable. How can we connect our target audience to our services, products, and mission? More importantly, how do we make them care? In this session, we'll unpack the surprisingly simple answer: STORYTELLING.

Join us as we explore the elements of successful copywriting, including how to drive results by tapping into universal emotions. We'll also dive into visual communication. Did you know you have the capabilities of a TV production crew in your pocket? Learn the techniques and tools savvy business owners are using to create professional-quality video with their cell phones.

An Emmy-nominated journalist turned educator, Lindsay Perrault (Veremis) is the Director of Co-Curricular Engagement for the Brian Lamb School of Communication and teaches a range of courses in Purdue’s Digital Media and Production Center including multiplatform journalism, broadcast performance, content creation, and TV production. Prior to her time at Purdue, Lindsay spent more than a decade in broadcast news, primarily as a morning news anchor. Her reporting has covered weather disasters, political scandals, and lighter moments, like the Green Bay Packers’ Super Bowl victory. Lindsay also has strategic communications experience in higher education, serving as a communication manager and media coordinator for Purdue Honors College. In her spare time, she runs a petite fashion-focused lifestyle blog anchoredinelegance.com and regularly partners with local, national, and international brands as a content creator. She holds a master’s degree in strategic communication from Purdue University and a BA in journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
