As a traveling mother of two, Nikeytha 'Nickey' Ramsey became frustrated with the few options available at the time to store her breastmilk - or, as she calls it, "liquid gold" - while on the go. So, she built a business that filled the gap that she, and parents all over the world, experienced.
Before she had the idea for Junobie, Ramsey was an undergraduate student of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences at Purdue University. Once Nickey started her professional career, she desired to expand her family, and after returning to work from maternity leave, she experienced challenges with finding proper support for lactating women in the workplace. This ultimately led to Nickey's company, Junobie. Then Nickey earned a deal on ABC's Shark Tank, elevating Junobie to a new level.
