About Toy:
Toyinda L. Smith is a bestselling author, business consultant, master coach, corporate trainer and global speaker. She is the principal of both The Coaching Seat and Leadership Strategy & Consulting. Both firms were started to build the confidence and drive the success of kingdom citizens, entrepreneurs, leaders and speakers. Through her companies she provides execution-based solutions to infuse teams and increase employee engagement.
Before starting her Coaching & Consulting firms, Toyinda held leadership roles at Purdue University for over 14 years. Toy earned an associate degree in organizational leadership and supervision and double bachelor’s degrees in psychology and sociology at Purdue University. She then attained a master’s degree in student affairs and higher education from Indiana State University.
Toyinda is a Champion in her own right. As an invited "walk on" to Purdue University's track and field team, she went on to become an eight-time B1G Conference championship medalist including five B1G Conference champion titles and is a two-time All-American. She won the NCAA indoor weight throw championship in 1999. She has since been honored by being inducted into two athletic Halls of Fame and by a host of other organizations for leadership and innovation and has made multiple Top 40 under 40 lists.
